March 17 Alpental

Springy conditions. The far BC had a fair amount of windblown on top of a crusty layer. Pretty deep and nice in numerous spots. Kicked the bootpath up 261, which is always a workout. Rewarded with complete solitude and first tracks out of Great Scott. Marvelous. Dumped really hard for a while reducing visibility to nothing at times. Upper traverse gate open, but towards mid afternoon became totally covered with slide debris from small slides periodically throughout the afternoon. Switched to my shorties after 2 closed and lapped the chutes above Ingrids until about 8. Really nice, but is now fairly diced due to my numerous laps. . Heading up there right now, I'm sure there are some goodies in spots .
