2/27 - Crystal

A beautiful day and pretty much a repeat of Tuesday. Snow wasn't quite as good, but still a very nice 4 out of 5 day.

AZ convinced us to hike the King as it was such a beautiful day, so how could we say no to her? Brain Damage chute had some sphincter-puckering icy spots, but below that was fine until the crusty snow toward the bottom. Also, down to the lake and out was fine.

So, I must talk about the lifts. Since Monday, the gondie has been on-again off-again and running sight-seer slow. Chinook is on diesel and not running full speed. GV is also running at 70%. But the worst is REX on diesel and running as slow as a fixed-grip chair. What's worse, Crystal management seems unable to determine the problem other than "some power issue" and there are no visibility signs of trying to fix anything. Pretty sad when Forrest Queen and C6 are the only two chair operating normally all week.
