We drove up from Yakima in bright sunshine. We saw 2 vehicles in the 64 mile drive. We parked across from the slope, walked to the ticket center, and picked up our free tickets from Powder Alliance.
The terrain was perfect groomers. All the green and blue trails were in great shape. We skied the front slide and then went to the West side. Basin Quad is slow but has a nice Rib Eye Park with nice rolling humps and jumps if needed. Then there's all the terrain off the Couloir Express. The 6 plus intermediate trails have rolling terrain around and thru the trees. Just pure fun at speed. The West Ridge access provides great steep treed terrain "off piste". On the east side of the Express there is backcountry access to the bowls, chutes and peaks. It was a cold, windy morning with sunshine and no crowds - GREAT.
