Cool crisp morning with brilliant sunshine followed by partial clouds in the pm brought out the hoards on Washington Birthday. Encountered a roll over about 1/2 mile up from the VC on Race St. Thankfully nobody hurt. The road was an ice rink and seemed like it had virtually no sand applied. Parking lot was almost full this morning at 9 when I arrived at the VC.

Twelve inches of light pow on a supportive crust made for some very nice turns on northern exposures. Skied the east bowl down about 1000 feet and slogged a skin track back up through steep treed terrain, tough and slow going for this aging pinnah. Wind scoured with up to a few inches on crust on exposed southern slopes off the Hill. Best skiing of the season for me this season by far!
