Big Sky - 2/11

A 4 out of 5 day.

Today started with temps in the mid-teens and 2 inches new.  Partly sunny at lift opening gave way to high overcast and occasional light snow flurries through the day. Visibility was never impacted and winds stayed light.  1.5 out of 2 for weather.

Twenty five step walk to the slopes and yesterday's powder cruise-fest gave way to some bump skiing today.  We hit all our favorite treed bump runs on Ramcharger and Thunder Wolf today.  Lot's of powder, packed powder, packed powder bumps, and some downright big, relentless bumps on Bolivia, Bears Lair, and Snake Pit. Good golly miss Molly, that's some bumps in Snake Pit. Favorites were Wolverine, Shady Chute, Coultier's Hell, and Blue Room with #1 really liking Blue Room and Congo.  As we worked our way back to the Moonlight Basin side to our condo, did one run down Challenger and found quite a bit of powder left in the trees toward the bottom.  2.5 out of 3 for snow.

Another great day in Montana.  Oh, the longest line we waited in today was...none.

3 tram runs today ....lift line was long ....powder turns till your legs can't take it, cuz Marx and Lenin are long.....otter slide open.....snowing hard when I left...powder day tomorrow

With the tram closed yesterday, I bet it was heliskiing epic. You only had to pay with those horrendous waits. Seems like that's the only spot on the mountain with consistently long lines. Glad you had the patience to get the goods. 3 times!
