broke trail early then linked up with one snowshoers set from a different aspect. strong east winds between 6000 and 7000 ft. scoured the east facing bowls so it was a tree skiing day all the way down to hwy 12. would have preferred the steeper terrain, but only had half a day still the deep snow in the trees on the 1000 ft before the hwy was sweet. will be able to make it back to the southern rim and check out the north face of the big bowl back there winds are predicted to be light but they sure weren't today, hmm maybe spiral butte above dog lake could be the answer.

Brenda and I bought one way tickets back in December. I think they were 10 bucks?
I called today and it was just a rumor with no basis.
They are selling one ways for $10.
