Is there any Mt Hood skiers out there on this site..?! Anyone have a good guide book recommendation or air photos of the HEATHER CANYON area of Mt Hood Meadows? There is massive amounts of terrain back there and some routes and info would be great...specifically of the Clark Canyon area and the knob between Heather and Clark which is full of wild terrain and a terrifying waterfall that really wants to swallow you up. Also, Everytime i go off exploring the SR cliff area i end up in the cliffs... which area is also terrifying. I think the storm has finally ended on hood with over 28" water equivalent in January..Crazy.

Heather Canyon isn't that rowdy, esp. when you compare it to the terrain out the gates at Alpental.

Go look at Google Maps, bruh

No doubt, Alpental has some of the best lift-accessed terrain in the world. But, lift accessed side county at Alpental is around 500 acres; and Heather Canyon, SR and Gods Wall area at Mt Hood is almost 2,000 acres accessible from a lift. Its a monster.....
