3/10-3/11 Alpental

Arrived thursday night late just in time to get kicked out of lot 3 by security only because we chose to sleep in a tent. Begining of a bummer, then to solidify a complete bummer the chair lift broke early on a dump day. Skiied in bounds a few runs before returning to the truck for food beer and other goodies. Returned to the mountain at 3:30 to discover the reopening of Chair 2. Just enough time for one BC run. Dropped into stokes bowl to untouched super fluffy deep turns all the way to mushroom where the couloir proved to be the most enjoyable exit. Today brought about more solid BC runs with pretty much identical conditions . Snagged two out of great scott bowl which were both amazing. Elevator gate/ropeline/rockface really tracked out and heavy. Tomorrow should be good as well with plenty of good lines left to explore.....
