The snow has not come, but there is still tons of fun to be had. Mike and I cooked up a November ski and skate. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

The skiing was short and demanding.

The skating was smooth and fast.

Just love getting a twofer!

Hey , please put up some pics of that skate rig! or pm works.
Last year I found a site which had some detail of such rigs.
East side of the Cascades would be a great area for that gear.

no connections to above site ,just interested.

The skates in the photo are the Lundhags T-skate from the link you posted. It is awesome to skate in your ski boots. No ankle fatigue. No side to side wobbles. Way better experience for me than with lace up skates, and easier to get in and out of too. I had to drill holes in the T bar skate to mount the pin bindings, but it was no prob.

Tricky to put the skates on while you have your boots on though.

I posted a better pic on the proposed new TAY site. link is here: NewTAY

Mike ,
Thanks for the update on skate touring gear. Ive also seen that site by Luc.
Looks like a blast !
Perhaps to make it easier to enter bindings one could make a small wood block rig?
Thanks again

Yeah, good idea, I might give that a try. I've started putting the skates on before the boots. But that only works if you approach not in your boots :)
