11/2/2019 Summer Like Day on Muir
« on: 11/03/19, 01:04 PM »

Best conditions were from 9200 to 7200 feet. I opted to hike from Pebble Creek back to the lot as there seemed to be a number ski carries with the probability of hitting large rocks hidden under the melting snow. The Nisqually needs a lot more snow before it is doable. I suppose one could ski or ride it if they were up for some serious down scrambling/climbing in sections. NO THANKS!

Saw you speeding down on Saturday. Beautiful day up there and I was able to wear shorts/T shirt on the ascent. Quality corn on the field. We skied below pan point with several transitions

I'd like to watch a video of the faces on a group of climbers as you zoom past Smiley

thanks for the video. Always fun to watch!

It would be interesting to have someone read every trip report ever posted of Muir and create a pie chart showing those who said "it was good from 9200 to 7200" and those who said "it was good top to bottom." My guess is the 80/20 rule would apply.  Grin
