Nearest Postage Stamp to Ranger Cabin at end of Hwy. 542 is a 5' x 8', One-Turn, piece of snow. Farther Postage Stamp yielded 100' of vert, and 10 turns last weekend. Good enough for Month 263, though. Won't be there for October... Looks like a drive to Hood.

PS: If anyone can help re-size an iPhone foto, I can show the enormity of said Powder Field...

I'm pretty sure there are larger-than-postage stamp snowfields/glaciers significantly closer to Bagley lakes than Mt Hood, lol.

Chances are there will be some snow on them by October, too!
