You already know that, but it occurred to me recently to find other uses. Kayaked QCI recently and found they cinched up things like the tent and sleeping pad so they didn't expand to fill the stuff bag, therefore allowing better boat packing. Fleece sweaters etc kept in tighter bundle than the rubber bands I have normally used. A hatch strap failed, so Voile to the rescue. And just in case we needed a tourniquet..
