Heading there tomorrow. Are there places to skin up apart from the ski area? If so, where would you suggest? Also, do they allow RVs to overnight in their parkinglot? They are not responsive by phone or email.
Thanks so much for any beta,
Nick

I just learned about Beartooth Basin a few weeks ago and sent them inquiries about BC skiing; no answer for me either.
Did you get there while the lifts were open? Got an upcoming trip? The area closed July 7, but at that elevation maybe snow hangs around a while longer. We are going near there on a road trip but not until August 8 or 9. Anything you find out would be great.

Just got back from the Tetons doing class B (anything outside & fun non-skiing) activities. Snow level was well above 10000', probably useful snow (no ability to comment on quality except for very low seasonal expectations) starts around 10.5-11K. Mighty slim pickings. Great spring made the rivers super full and fun though, and almost no dust on the mtb trails.
