Photo size changed?

Has the resolution of attached photos changed? My photos used to be limited to 1000px wide or so, but now they are displaying at full resolution and overflowing the page. I have only noticed this in the past few days.

I did expand the allowed picture size from 1000x800 to 2000x1600. If that's causing trouble, I can put it back. (As I type this, I see that it says 800 x 800 pixels is the max, which is not accurate.)

I personally prefer the old limit since most of my photos are wider than 1000px and are way too big for the page when displayed at full resolution. When using the old limit you can still click on the photo to get full resolution right?

I set the max width for posted pictures back to 1000 px. I agree with aaasen that this is a preferable setting. Thanks for the heads up.
