After learning this route from the MASTER - Silas - BigCountry and Jawz skied the Paradise GL with our Vermont friends (first time for them).  Left the Paradise parking lot around 7:30a. Skied down from Anvil Rock. Perfect 1" smooth (ie no sun cups) corn from 9600' to about 7800' then it got a little sticky. Easily skirted the 8100' crack.  We traversed out to Sluskin's then down the ridge with the very last turn exactly at the road (bare).  We had the entire Paradise drainage to ourselves.  An easy walk back to the parking lot completed an awesome day in the mountains. Feeling privileged and grateful for this experience.
We went back along the route to Mazama Bowl two days later to find large suncups-not fun.  Anyone care to educate me on why suncups form some places and not others?  Paradise and Mazama are different elevations but similar exposures.  Thanks again John for the tour!
