A beautiful day to summit Saint Helens.
Left Seattle at 2:40am and started hiking at 5:30. Was able to skin 3/4 of a mile after the trail head. Conditions were firm near the top so boot-packed the last mile to the summit. Began my descent at 11:30 after the sun softened things up. Crusty snow for the first hundred feet, then magnificent corn, and a little slush down low.
Had a blast. 6.5 hours car to car
