Changing forecasts had us changing plans last minute in the morning. In the end, a low-expectations tour up in Snoqualmie delivered better-than-expected snow. S aspects that had been exposed to sun and wind had a nice supportive crust which made for easy skinning. And there was still some powder in the protected N sides up high, transitioning into carveable soft snow lower down. We found the sticky icky down low, but I've certainly had worse!
