A beautiful sunny day with no winds and 2" overnight, 6" in last 24hrs. We always park at the lower lift where the locals and dogs hangout, plus where the parties are. The day started with a ski patroller and his golden retriever avy dog. The fun part was when the patroller and his dog were trying to load on the lift - the dog jumped onto the lift seat and the ski patroller attempted to sit beside him. The dog was taking up both seats, the patroller didn't have enough room to sit, and the lift had started moving. The lift person saw the problem and stopped the lift a bit late. The patroller slid off the lift and landed OK. The avy dog was looking and "smiling" and had his space on the lift. The patroller loaded on another seat, and followed his avy dog on the ride up. This was starting as a great day.

Yes, the weather was nice and we headed to the "other side" which has an east exposure and was warming. Most folks headed for the Sherwood lift, but we headed over to the Lakeview lift. It is an older lift but the exposure is protected from the sun and there were only a handful of folks in the area - four runs of fresh snow and making fresh tracks. We took another photo from the top with Lake Tahoe in the background. Plus there was another ski patroller with his avy dog. This was another "show", with the dog "playing dead" as he was dragged around the slope also riding on his patroller's back, etc.

Next, we rode the Sherwood lift which was getting warm. Then back to the lodge area where the skiing was perfect until the masses arrived.
