We skied on Wednesday at Mt. Hood Meadows. A sunny day but the winds affected the Cascade Express lift. Very quiet with spring conditions. We followed the sun and skied the lower slopes from Hood Run express than  moved higher as the slopes warmed. Heather Canyon was open but it was "very firm" for the few who went down into it. I really like the trail map by "Stone Paper Solutions". It will last. Definitely a sunscreen day.

Thursday was a Timberline day with no winds on the tree-lined runs. But the Magic Mile lift was getting the wind, plus being a cloudy day the runs off it had very flat light. We spent the morning on the groomed trails. It is amazing with all of the tree-lined runs. We skied the terrain parks because of the groomed lines in the parks and avoided the huge park features. We skied two sides of a great mountain with wonderful backcountry terrain. Plus, there are free snow-cat rides at Timberline on weekends to the top of the Palmer express lift during the winter season when the lift isn't operating. Yes, free.  ;)
