A former Seattle resident, Sean VanHorn, is raising money and awareness for "Aspen Strong", a non-profit mental health organization based in the Roaring Fork Valley (CO). Aspen Strong connects mental health resources and referral agencies with community members in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Since this effort did not include the use of a lift, I posted the effort here for a little more exposure... Buttermilk ski area supported the effort in a big way by providing 24 hour access to the Tiehack warming hut (base elevation 8,037 feet) and the mountain.

The Go Fund Me site will remain open for a few days and that's the purpose of the post. Most of us have been touched or affected by someone with a need for the services that organizations like this provide:

Most donations were small, ranging from $20.00 to $200.00. If you're so inclined, or have the means, every bit helps...

There were no corporate banners at the start-finish area... just Sean's friends, his family, and a handful of local outdoors' focused small companies. What an effort for such a great cause!

Sean just missed the North American record... In 24 hours, he skinned up 60,400 feet.
An amazing physical feat.  My congrats to Sean!
