March 4-10, 2019, Newberry Caldera/Mt. Thielsen

Ended up being too stormy to complete the circumnavigation, but we had a good time!
Bailed from the Caldera and headed down to Diamond Lake for a few days.

We camped on Trail 4 above Paulina Lake.


We hunkered down for a day getting pounded with rain, sleet and snow.
Decided to bail on storming around the Caldera and returned.

Changed course and ended up at Diamond Lake.


Skied up the trail to Mt. Thielsen.
