Jim Dockery and I had a chance to head in and ski Vesper last Friday.
Gate is locked at Deer creek, but my snowmobile made short work of the snow covered Mountain Loop Hwy, beyond the gate. We rode to the trail head and skinned from there.
Our big ambitions of getting up into the alpine and getting some good drone footy were dismayed with increasing cloud cover and vomit inducing flat light. :(
The skiing was still fun non the less.
North aspects held mid boot powder, South and East aspects were over cooked with wind affect and some crust, And West? Well didn't really ski any west.
