Group of 11 from B.C. Mountaineering Club. Followed recommendation from dberdinka to approach from trail #673. Good snow coverage on trail but would not want to ski it down. No base for a longs ways up.

Went up the western peak. Skied down until we could enter the north glacier. Unfortunately, the light just went flat but the snow was good. The exit gully had best light and the skiing was fantastic. Exited down Twin Lakes road on fluff the whole way down with a good base.
Sent you a PM, but can you confirm how close to the Goat Mtn trail head you can get? I'm guessing that skiable snow (going down) probably ends just below tree line, maybe a bit further if feeling sporty? Thanks!

Have you been able to drive on the Hannegan Pass road at all? Or did you leave the car on SR 542?

I did this same tour with a group of 3 today (3/2/19), you could drive to Goat Mtn TH if you were feeling sporty. We parked the car at SR542 so that our tour would end with a short walk from Twin Lakes Road to the parking area at the Hannegan Pass turn off, rather than ending with a skin up Hannegan Pass Rd.

Highly recommend skiing the north glacier and Twin Lakes road out, the skiing on the lower portion of Goat Mtn would have been terrible.

Yep, sorry about later reply. Could have driven to Nooksack Cirque TH. Vehicles had slewed off the road beyond that. There was no base to ski down the lower part of the trail. Definitely a loop is the only option. Up over Goat and down north side to Twin Lakes road.

Thanks! We ended up doing the tour the same way you did (park at SR542, up Goat Mtn Trail, down the north side to Twin Lakes Rd.) and it was amazing! Thank you for the trip report and skin track!
