Cloudy and cold today with a few sun breaks. Found a thin sun crust on an open S aspect below about 4,000'. Fairly strong east wind was quickly forming wind slabs above the treeline. There's still plenty of unconsolidated powder from Friday night, but the wind is quickly changing that.

The cornice at the Thunder Creek Exit looks like it got a really bad haircut.
way to get it before it slabs over.  Looks nice.

Interesting angle on the cornice... natural break?

Not a natural break, looks like someone went at it with a saw on a pole. I doubt that it weakened the cornice substantially, but if you're going to try to take down the most traveled under cornice in Snoqualmie Pass, best to finish the job.

We were the party behind you. Thanks for letting us use your rope. Was a great day out, if only it could be that cold all the time.
