The storm on Tuesday night was just about perfect. A foot of cold snow without much wind. I skied CCW around Chair Peak with Dave with plenty of extra laps in the sublime snow.

Clear in the morning with a some clouds in the afternoon, but not enough to reduce visibility. Lots of solar avalanche activity on southern aspects in the afternoon. Some wind slabs developing in high exposed terrain like the N slope of Chair.

At the end of the day we met a party of three at the top of Bryant Peak Couloir. They were up for their second lap of the day and very kindly let us go first. Thanks guys!

The return track from Source Lake is in excellent condition. The big storm filled it in, and Alpental patrol kept everyone off of it last weekend while they were doing avalanche control work. Hopefully the signs will keep uphill traffic on the lower track when there isn't a patroller there to enforce it.
