We went out to check out the conditions. Pretty consistent - 8-16 inches of light fluff on a solid crust - well, let's call it what it is - ice.
Streams, some not large enough to show up on the topo, were not filled in and required the doodle to get across with skis on shoulder.
Some lower elevation areas (wind settled) had up to two feet of the good stuff. Was snowing hard on our way back. The forecast looks promising to fill in some of those holes.
