It's awfully warm out there. We backed away from our first objective after settling in the skin track. Then we dug a pit and had a column test failure below the Jan3 rain crust that settled about 3/8 of an inch (45cm down, failed on 21). Then we decided go to uphill to a nice gentle pitch, but travel was frustrated by really persistent skin glopping. Skiing up high was fun, but the mush down low was almost unskiable.

definitely a bit of an inversion over here. Looking forward to glop-less skinning and real powder, but a peek at the extended forecast seems to indicate it may still be a while...
