After pretty terrible conditions yesterday nobody wanted to ski today, so I headed up to the pass late with low expectations. The wet snow from yesterday froze hard overnight to form a generally supportive crust. A few inches of fresh snow on top made for surprisingly enjoyable skiing above about 4,000'. I stuck to low-angle slopes below 5,000', but judging from the excited yelling of other parties, conditions above the treeline were good. Calm with a high cloud layer. Some low clouds developed in the afternoon. No precipitation.
I can confirm that there is great skiing to be found on N facing slopes even to 3500'.
Amazing just how much north facing means around here.
