Temperature in Gold Bar was nearly 50 at 745am, but we found the summits near Stevens enshrouded in cloud with a 15-29mph breeze on ridgecrests. In the trees we found a stiff crust, but open slopes above 5000' provided 6" soft, settled 2-3 day old snow on all aspects.
After skiing we drove east to the very busy Barbarian village and noticed half a dozen cars parked near the east tunnel entrance. How was Arrowhead and Jim Hill?
