It's puking snow right now with perfect temps, but the jury is still out on tomorrow. Today was a fine day of top to bottom snow - over what must have been a very hard base the last few days. The whole Alpine was open all day even though every high chair including Symphony, said you needed to be an expert because of visibility, wind, and cold! Wow - Vail Corps lawyers must be from So Cal! The vis wasn't really "that" bad by Whistler standards. I didn't have the chance to hit the trees, but I'm sure there were some leftovers from the last storms, that got a bit of a refresh by the middle of the day. Mid season base right now. Last run down Lower Franz's had several inches of fluff on the sides. If they had night skiing, tonight would be rocking! Avalanche danger up here is all red, so I'm planning an inbounds day with a beacon, pack, and airbag...hopefully without a raincoat. It will be a dangerous tree well day. Be safe in there.
