The 'yakyard exceeded expectations today, esp. on SW aspects between 3200-3700'. Coverage really begins to thin below 3500' and is poor below 3000'. A few inches of new on top of a semi-supportive crust on top of a big pile of goo on a firm ice crust a few inches above the dirt. Probe penetration was roughly 30" at the patrol shack.
Did enough laps of acceptable enough quality to justify the workout before navigating carefully back down the face. The weather was better than expected, too.
