It was fast. It was cold. N & NE aspects between 3800' & 3000' offered a few inches of nice, dry snow on a firm, underlying rain crust. Did two laps after taking out the recycling, probably the lowest tide I've ever golfed in.
The surface hoar is considerable. I wouldn't rule-out ground-layer facets. If the next storm doesn't come-in warm and/or wet, I'd note this as a layer of concern.

... and the forecast is for it to arrive fairly cold (2.5-3k freezing level).
