Pretty good conditions for a Muir this Sunday. There was 2+ feet of new powder atop the old base. With the high clouds and light wind, the snow stayed powdery through our descent at 3 pm.

A group of what looked like 4 skied the chute, not my cup of tea so soon after a storm, and I wonder if it had a sun crust as well. Two of them opted for skier's right of the big wind feature and it looks like they maybe regretted having to air over the partially covered rockbands.

The snowfield, on the other hand, offered large soft-strugi up high, changing over to blissful powder until the rock-hopping section. However, a sun crust had formed on pan face, which is still fairly gnarly right now. Ski to the car? I'll take it.
