Quick report on conditions on the snowfield. First snow comes beyond Pebble Creek but it's not worth donning skis on the way up until about 8500-8600 feet or so. Easy to walk on the dirty snow up until that point without any traction.

While plenty of people seemed to be skiing down near the bootpack, the best snow is way off on skiers right coming down from the hut. It was corning up around noon. Once below about 9,100, we then headed back left and were able to link up enough patches of smooth snow before bailing on skiing at about 8,600 feet, although some more adventurous souls kept the boards on their feet -- with the exception of one short carry -- on the bumpy, hard, dirty snow down much closer to Pebble Creek.
Very useful report.  Rusty Knees and I are skiing Wednesday, and we will probably be looking around up there.

Can confirm that the patch above Pebble Creek is objectively not great. Still better than carrying skis down, though!
