We went up to Muir today to catch some rays. 8)
Despite encouraging sun-ovening on the lower slopes in the morning, afternoon winds kept everything nice and icy, for spicy turns the whole way. After flirting with the lead-in slopes for the Nisqually Chute and finding icy crust, we went down the normal way.
Oddities on the way down included a horde of late-hour skiers (wedding?), and an unfortunate-looking collision between a pair of other skiers resulting in some rescue-like activity (I didn't get any details?).
