July turns from Spokane was created by aaronb
In Spokane right now, looking to keep my pointless streak going with a July ski day next week. I know I can hit up the volcanoes, and Mt Adams is my backup, but is there anything closer to Spokane? It was apparently an above average year here, anything still lingering at Mt Spokane or Schweitzer? Perhaps something around Mt Roothaan?

Bonus points, if someone wants to escort me on such an outing, I'd be glad to provide the beer. And beta about the places I know.

Cheers!

Mt Roothan and some north face slopes on the Selkirk crest still have skiiable run. Going fast though. Nothing to ski at Mt. Spokane for months now/

check out panhandlebackcountry.com for some trip reports from the area.

Was just up in the Selkirks, to get a ski in last weekend, and was shocked at how much it has melted in the last couple of weeks. I usually do a Twin Peaks trip every year at this time, but decided to can it, and do some hiking instead. You could probably get in some turns, but doubt Roothaan is still doable. Twin Peaks, out of the Pack River/Beehive Lakes might be the only thing left, IMO. As far as regionally, the Cabinets might still have some stuff. Also, the Mission/Swan Ranges in Mt.
