A short, but steep approach into the alpine yielded good corn on NE aspects above 5000'. Laps among rolling terrain were broken up by spectacular views and well-stashed cold ones. Half the party managed to ski back to 4500' with two very short carries, one went for a cold plunge after a botched pond skim and the mosquitoes didn't relent much all day.
