Original intent was to ski Stuart, but after meeting a guy on North folk of the teanaway and getting beta that the snow was rotten there was much deliberation about what to do next. Eventually we decided to stay at the pass and do an early ascent of Granite.
Some beta:
North Fork of the Teanaway can be driven to around 2 miles of Esmeralda Th. With a high clearance car to skirt some fallen trees

On granite
Most folks are going the summer route up granite, we hiked 2000' and did a direct ascent up the main gully. Saw no other skiers.
Snow didn't freeze overnight but was predominantly consolidated.  - 4-6" boot pen at 7-8 am  skied down at 9am and snow was actually quite good, the main runnel was running fast with the loose wet after some turns so not ideal to ski if people were ascending.
