Approached the Coleman Glacier side of Mt. Baker Tuesday, May 1st to a camp near glacier vista with friends Kameron and Joe. The next day we climbed the North Ridge, descending a variation of the Coleman Deming route back to camp.

We climbed the ice cliff about 75' to the right of the ridge crest in a rope length. At least two groups climbed the variation further right on a rock buttress with what looked like 50 °+- mixed rock and ice. Met one other person on the summit who came from Railroad Grade.

The Roman Wall was in fine shape if slightly sticky. Once back at the saddle, we skied a line roughly straight downhill through the glacier from the Colfax icefall instead of traversing left on the climbers track.

Beautiful mountain.

Something like 1-2 miles of snowy road to the trailhead, melting fast.
Fun times!

Coleman headwall is looking pretty fat right now !

Fantastic! Loved the images on Insta as well.

Heck yes
Looks fatty

N. Ridge skiable Drew? with or without raps?

N. Ridge skiable Drew? with or without raps?

Sorry, I'm unable to process your query. I'm a skier, not a descender-in-ski-mode. Snow on the entirety of the ridge was shit, ice and hard texture. Center-punching the Coleman Glacier on the other hand made my underwear dirty.
