We arrived early in the parking lot to make breakfast and wait for the clouds to dissipate. It was 31 degrees and the clouds kept coming and coming. Stormin' Norman opened at 9am and Miracle Mile at 9:30am. Yes, we started to ski, but the weather was not consistent. Finally we saw the top of Mt. Hood and the Mile was in the sun. It was like chasing your dog or cat and never catching them. Moving clouds, fog, and sun are just that way. The Palmer was moving slowly and a few folks were on it. We saw folks who were descending and kept going past the loading point and heading on down to the Mile. The snow conditions were fantastic spring snow, but the visibility was not great. Norman is in the trees so skiing was easy. After a while we headed down to the campervan. We waited for the clouds/fog to clear, but the weather was on again/off again and most folks were done for the day. We drove down to Government Camp and hit the really dense fog and clouds where we had to drive really slowly to see the vehicle heading toward you. But everything changed when we drove around the mountain to the other side...
