Just as you round the bend in the road you see this BIG volcano in the sun, and it starts as a WOW day. We arrived at 8am to the parking lot, and an attendant noticed our campervan and put us in the first row right across from the walkway and next to the staff building. We walked about 40 feet to get our free MAX pass tickets. We rode the.Pine Marten.express and headed straight towards the Cloudchaser express by skiing under the Summit lift and heading east. There was great spring snow. We rode Cloudchaser with a local who had just made 2 laps. He suggested the trails to ski for the best spring runs. It was fantastic spring snow, tree lined, and with nobody on the trails. Jill is great at chatting with people on the lift and always gets the latest trail info -- this morning off Cloudchaser it was for Wanoga, White Bark and Flying Dutchman. WOW!

It was an express day with the Pine Marten, Cloudchaser, Skyliner, Summit, and the Northwest lift all running. It was the perfect bluebird ski day with sun, blue sky, no clouds, and great packed powder. Follow the sun and keep your right shoulder near the tree lines. Bachelor will running into May and there is no shortage of snow.

But "walking 40' "is a bit much, don't you think?
