I spent Saturday skiing around the Snow Lake area. It was surprisingly not busy. I think everyone was skiing the Slot (we saw a lotta tracks) after NWAC's post! Good snow was found on all aspects, getting sun-affected on S faces by midday and crusty on the ski out.
Sunday we went a couple valleys over and enjoyed great powder in N-facing terrain. Steeps skied excellent with nothing more than sluffs in the top 4-6" of storm snow. A number of parties were exploring the area. In and out sunny skies with some short graupel showers in the afternon. We were pleasantly surprised to even get pow skiing the W-facing slide path in the last sun of the day.
The long days really make it good!
