Stevens- Mon 3/12 Stupendous!

Today was payback day for all of those mediocre times at Stevens. It was just the perfect spring day. Seventh Heaven was really nice packed powder chalk, well worth repeated laps. If you traversed out on the upper skiers right Seventh traverse, there was very nice packed powder in the shade with really fun sized bumps. Rock Garden was sweet. The real bonus was the backside. It went off. Just great spring skiing from about 1130 on. Pegasus has been groomed over the weekend and depending on how steep it was, had some nice smallish bumps, to some medium-size bumps. Orion was good, but it's not as much hill as Pegasus. The run right under the Southern Cross chair was skiable, but more work then Peg, so we ended up doing multiple laps on Pegasus. What we skied on the groomers was good and our usual off piste edges we're just fine. We ended up skiing two hours longer than usual because we just couldn't tear ourselves away.
