hero snow spring conditions were found top to bottom...consistent 1-2" of sun softened over a firm base the whole way down.
Skinning up sucked as the muir snowfield was a wind scoured frozen mess....always interesting how a slight change in aspect or angle can make a world of difference in snow quality.
Left a car at the bridge so we could pick up that extra 1500vf of turns...never tried that before, but definitely will again.

Sweet!

Was the lower nisqually down to the bridge pretty well filled in, or did you have to dodge crevasses?

below the chutes, we stuck close to the east side moraine since we didn't have an idea of how well filled in the lower glacier was and didn't bring any glacier gear.
Did see tracks further out from some folks who must've skied the glacier proper a day or two before.
It certainly looked filled in enough to ski right down the toe of the glacier.

Thanks, Pete.

nice work!  doesn't happen all that often that you get more vert on the downhill than on the up, huh?   ;)

Pete -  Thanks for the quick report allowing us to avoid the abundant death crust and enjoy nice WA corn in the chute and glacier.
