YoYo and I skied two days at Sunshine -- very large ski area -- very cold (-14C) but generally pretty sunny. No new snow accumulation on days we were there -- however the cold kept the snow well preserved -- the few times we took a groomed run it wasn't icy at all.
Access to Sunshine's "Delerium Dive" and "Wild West" areas are controlled by gates that are unlocked by a 457khz beacon signal. At the "Wild West" gate there was also a ski patroller asking questions and giving beta on the narrow chutes in the "Wild West" area -- which opened for the first time this season on Mar 6th.
