Quick BC ski weekend to Elfin Lakes. The original plan was to skin into Elfin Lakes Friday night but due to a late departure from Seattle, a slow snowy drive starting at the border, and an extra mile of skinning up the road because the car got stuck (with chains!) we only made it to the lower camp before deciding to set up the shelter. Woke up to amazing views and bluebird skies. Quickly made it to Elfin Lakes in the morning for a couple of laps around the park before heading out and home in the dark. Lack of knowledge of the area and being the only skiers around we stuck to more conservative lines. South facing aspects were mostly sun affected, while northern exposures provided 12+ inches of light powder. There is so much to explore in this area, unfortunately we didn't have enough time and the weather was rolling in. Snow stability was solid and we saw no natural slides anywhere in the area.
Nice TR and photos.  ;)

Way to take advantage of every hour! Looks like a fun bluebird day that you only got because you were willing to travel in the dark!
