February 26, 2018 Summit Central

A bonus day. Yes, packed powder with 2" of fresh on the ungroomed slopes, temperature in mid 20's, and sun. Silver Fir started early. The fun part was that Robie met us and we skied for a couple hours together. Robie is easy to see - new backcountry skis in a green and his backcountry boots are blue and yellow. He skied with us for 2 hours, took a break, and then rode the lift to ski from Central to East on the ridge route.

The Central runs were very quiet this morning. On Saturday we had a powder morning with 6" of fresh, but today was a wonderful change with cooler temps and silky powder. The rest of the week will provide some sun and a bit more powder expected on Thursday .

I would've joined you but I had 30" of snow to move. Might see ya Thursday!

Mr Real Deal and MRS Real Deal let me tag along. A good time for sure.
Hyak had 2-3" cosmetic powder and skied real sweet. Left for home around 1pm.
