This is a 2 part report: Skiing and Campervan

Part 1: It was a really nice morning at Central.  We arrived early and then waited to see the Silver Fir lift moving.  About 9:30am we heard that yesterday during the windstorm a part of the lift housing was dislodged. This morning they had to work on the electrical component, and it was finally moving. Many folks left before it started. The skiing in the groomed area was nice and fast.  Under the lift the first group had a nice run with no scraping.  The following groups did reach some firm surface.  During the first hour the lift stopped four times.  The line at the base grew, and we decided that we could be sitting on a chair when it stopped.  So, time to go.  We drove by East and West and the parking lots were FULL. Go home and watch the Olympics.

Part 2: Some of our trip reports have photos of the area or a run or one of us.  We often mention going back to the campervan.  A few folks have asked about a picture of our "travelling home".  The first photo is at Bachelor with Jill after skiing in a snow storm with lots of wind!  The second photo was taken this summer in our driveway when it was really clean.  We have a 20 ft Roadtrek -- year 2000, model 200 Versatile, built on a Chevy Express 3500 chassis van.  The body is a fiberglass shell mounted on the Chevy Express 3500 van chassis.  Home & Park was the original builder, and the company was recently bought by a German RV manufacturer.  They stopped building our model in 2004. The great thing about the Roadtrek is that it can carry 6 pairs of skis in the storage area. It has the typical items for a self-contained unit:  sleeping area, shower, refrigerator, toilet, sink, fresh water tank, gray and black-water tanks, storage for downhill and backcountry equipment, microwave, storage for clothing and cooking items.  Many folks whom we meet are curious about all the things we carry. No, we are not selling our unit. It has been with us for 18 years, and we've put over 280,000 miles on it (put new engine in several years ago). And it still has many more miles to go - as do we! ;)
