Yesterday was so good, we returned today. 6" new snow had fallen over the previous 18 hours. The snow was lighter for skinning than yesterday and an Element load of folks we never saw had skinned ahead of us, thanks for your work! After partly following the track and partly making our own, we felt the snow turning to rain and shooting cracks running as we skinned. After a brief chat we decided to turn around, and skied down 200' in very heavy knee deep new snow. We then decided our safest action was to ski the up track back to the cars. Meanwhile we learned all lifts at Stevens but hogs back and daisy were on windhold.
