70 mph gusts and slow chair rides sent everyone to the lodge and kept the runs untracked all day long. Honestly, it was pretty darn good once you got down from the high ridges. About 40 skiers (including myself) were held at the bottom of the Jupiter Chair for about 30 minutes due to the high winds. They were nice enough to give us $2 off our triple venti non-fat lates for our trouble. I was just glad they were able to keep most the mountain open for the majority of the day.
I've only been up there once with similar conditions and we were surprised because Mill Valley was nice & calm. Days like today build character. ;D

Like many others, I tried to give it a go at Baker today but they never opened. In fact, DOT didn't even plow the road beyond White Salmon. I actually thought the weather wasn't that bad but the gusts that would come through were pretty strong. Probably was much worse up higher.

Anyways, tomorrow's another day and should be a nice one!
